YOUTH HUB OPENS TODAY!

Today was an exciting moment for Napier, with the opening of the city's new YOUTH HUB. A long overdue development in our city.

This HUB located at Blank Canvas (41 Station Street) will allow us much more contact with potential new entrants to the Napier film industry, as well as provide a place for young people to have some space of their own.

It was great to see so many younger people attend and interact socially, as well as play rounds of Dungeons & Dragons. I really enjoyed seeing our city councilors using their creativity on the badge making table as well.

Our deputy mayor, Sally Crown, opened the event with an inspiring speech, and the "big dog" himself, Mayor Richard McGrath was there in attendance.

This is an amazing opportunity for Napier, and bodes well for the future of the city, and our local film industry which continues to grow.

We look forward to interacting with many of the next generation and hope to include them in filming around the Napier area next year.
